If I tell you that I have a new favorite dress every time I post, it might get annoying, right? Well, this one is the perfect staple dress for me: it’s made in a knit (super comfortable), it has a fitted bodice, short sleeves and a gathered skirt (my go-to silhouette, see for instance this dress (fr) or this one) and it’s electric blue (which has replaced black and navy as a neutral in my wardrobe, cf. this or this).
Under the sea, under the sea…When the sardine begin the beguine it’s music to meee (it’s music to me!) What do they got? A lot of sand, we got a hot crustacean band! Each little clam here know how to jam here, under the sea… After my first successful attempt at making swimwear (with the Bombshell swimsuit), I dived straight into my dream project: a two-piece swimsuit inspired by the outfit of Ariel, the Little Mermaid!
Yet another pattern from Deer&Doe! This new one, called Bruyère, is a full-on shirt with collar and cuffs and all that. Where it differs from other shirt patterns is that it is made to flatter hourglass figures, so it has a fitted waistband and inverted pleats in the front and back. So, wanna see the results of my pattern testing?
To go to my friends’ wedding last week, I wanted a summer dress that would be simple and comfortable, but still a bit fancy. I chose Deer&Doe’s Centaurée, which is the perfect pattern for this with its pieced bodice and double straps; plus, it’s not too tight at the waist, so I was able to indulge in eating cheese (I was only in France for a week after all!).
