I’ve heard that the new Deer&Doe collection is coming out very soon… and I still haven’t finished showing you what I made from the patterns from the previous one! In addition to my two Neige sweatshirts I’ve also made a pair of Acajou pants, which will be the subject of today’s blog post. The Acajou pants are high-waisted pants with a slight cocoon shape, meaning that the silhouette is exaggerated right below the hips and then tapers in. These pants are the typical example of a pattern with which I am extremely happy on a professional level, but that I…

I say last summer, but actually these pants were THE pants maybe two years ago… or was it three? I’m talking of course about the Persephone pants by Anna Allen. Personally, I bought into the trend a bit late, in March of last year. Be warned, it will be a long read!

Since I’ve made my Safran jeans (super comfy with its 30% stretch) I’ve been wearing them at least three days a week, with a flannel shirt or a big cosy sweater. Sewing-wise, I’m dreaming of Grainline Studio patterns, which I used to disregard as too boxy for me. And…

The new pattern by Deer&Doe was released last week! No collection this time, but a single pattern on which we spent a lot of effort: the Safran jeans/pants. I am a bit late to show you my version, as my life is currently pretty chaotic trying to move both across the US and back to France at the same time (long story)… But I’m still going to tell you a bit about it!
