At the beginning of the Summer, when I finally had some time to get back to sewing, I really wanted a simple and easy project. I had this fabric that I had planned to turn into a Deer&Doe Réglisse dress for a while, so I turned on my speakers, put West Side Story in the background, and a few days later, I had a new dress!

This year, to celebrate the 4th of July (and the long weekend that goes along with it) I made a nautical/patriotic dress in blue, white and red, the colors of the french american flag. Wait, what do you mean the 4th of July was already 3 weeks ago? Well, I guess I have a lot to catching up to do here!

That’s it, after several months waiting and doing endless paperwork, I finally left Paris and moved to the United States. So since I now live in a place where the weather is wonderful and there are beautiful backgrounds for taking pictures, I can show you my new dress…

The new Deer&Doe pattern came out today! It is a summer dress called Centaurée, and even if I don’t model for the patterns anymore (the lovely Marion is now doing it) I’m still in the loop somehow because I’m a pattern tester, so I can show you my own version of the dress today 🙂
