Today’s project is not a fail in itself: a top-notch pattern (if I say so myself), a fabric with great drape, a print I love, and a pretty good result altogether. But getting a garment right on paper doesn’t always mean you’ll actually wear it!

If I had to choose only one pattern to sew and wear during the summer, it would definitely be the Goji shorts! Their short length and wide legs are perfect for dealing with the hot and humid summers in North Carolina, and I find them more flattering than classic shorts on pear silhouettes like mine.
It’s almost T minus 1 month to the release of the next Deer&Doe collection and I still haven’t published all my test versions from the previous collection! I’d better get to it now…
Hurry! Before fall gets here for good, I need to rush and publish all my summer projects which are already completely off-topic. I made these shorts last July – actually finished them right on time to wear for the 4th of July 🙂
Woohoo! I finally managed to get outside and take pictures of something I made! I don’t know about you, but in the winter, I really struggle to keep my blog alive. I sewed several things, but when it’s time to take pictures… In the morning when I leave for work, it’s too dark, when I come home it’s night already, and on the weekend it’s cold, and I’m lazy, and… Oh right, my new shorts!
