The release of the Deer&Doe spring-summer 2018 collection is still a few days away, so I’m using this time to go through my backlog. Let me show you my favorite of the moment: this floral Givre dress.

As far as I am concerned, there are only two seasons: from March to August, it’s gingham season, and from September to February it’s time for plaid flannel! By the way, have you ever noticed that buffalo plaid is basically gingham‘s evil twin? White buffalo plaid or black gingham, it might be the most controversial question since the color of “the dress”… But anyway let’s get back to my new shirtdress!
For New Year, I took a week off and went on vacation to the beach. In December it’s definitely cheaper than going skiing, but when it’s below freezing there’s no way to go for a swim. So since I had time to spare I took advantage of the occasion to take pictures of my new hat!
I mentioned in the previous post my love for Telio fabrics. Here’s my latest favorite: this wonderful navy rayon voile with flamingo silhouettes in white with coral accents. Deep colors, a soft and drapey hand, and my favorite americana symbol (I think it’s time for a “flamingos” tag on this blog!), what more could I ask for? 🙂
After my Givre dress, let me introduce my version of the Azara skirt, the second pattern of the new Deer&Doe collection, which I sewed shortly after the release.
