Last post I explained how I use Trello to keep track of my fabric stash. So, I use it not only for fabric, but also to organize my sewing projects as a whole, from the idea to the blog post at the end. Today I’m telling you more about the features in Trello that help me with this process, including my personal favorites: card deadlines and the calendar view.

This January, I’ve noticed a lot of people on the sewing blogosphere talking about trying to get better at organizing their fabric stash / pattern stash / sewing projects. I mentioned several times on Instagram that I have been using Trello to keep track of my fabric stash and plan my sewing, and I have had a few questions about it. I figured it might be good to write a short tutorial series, and hopefully that’ll be helpful if you want to start using this tool! Today I’ll explain how I’m using it to organize and monitor my fabric stash 🙂

Happy new year! I hope you had a great new year’s eve and that you are as enthusiastic about 2016 as I am! As usual, I have several dozens of resolutions for the new year. One that involves this blog is that I’d like to get better at posting about my finished projects. Right now, I have a handful of dresses in my sewing room closet that are still waiting to be photographed, some I made over a year ago! The one I’m sharing today was finished last April.

Happy holidays everyone! The last few weeks of 2015 have been really tough on me, with a very intense transition from one job to the next, so I’m very happy to finally be on vacation. Oh right, that job, if you haven’t heard about it already: I’ve left my research position to join the Deer&Doe team! I had a bunch of reasons for this choice, and I’m not going to go into much detail here (you can read the post on the Deer&Doe blog if you are curious) but I’d be glad to talk about it, especially with those of you…

Aaah Moneta! It’s the third time I’ve sewn this pattern and it’s still as flattering and comfortable. Yet I fear that the more I make, the crazier my fabric choices get: the first one was in a solid color, the second one in classic florals on a black background, but this one is in a crazy bright yellow sunflower print on an electric blue background, 90s flashback style.
